At Global-Pak we offer both AdStar and Paper Valve bags for packaging smaller quantities of products. Many people have heard of Paper Valve Bags, but not many have heard of AD*Star Bags, so what is the difference and what is best for your business?  

AdStar Valve Bags: 

These bags are made of a single layer of woven polypropylene. This is the same material used for bulk bags (FIBC’s) and it is very strong. They come in 2 styles. Tubular and back seam. Both function essentially the same but the back seam version will be a little stiffer bag, and it allows for the ability to add true picture quality printing. Most of the AdStar bags we sell are tubular style however and can be printed with several colors. AdStar bags can be made with a variety of valve types and fabric colors as well.  

Paper Valve Bags: 

These bags are made of kraft paper. There are 2 basic types of paper used in the U.S. market. 2ply high performance and 3 ply regular kraft. Both generally work well in most applications and can be made with a variety of valve types. Paper bags come in either brown or bleached paper and can then be printed as well.
