We would like to share an important update regarding recent U.S. tariff developments and what they mean for your current and future orders. Below is a summary of the current, confirmed status:

Effective February 7, 2026

The U.S. has formally eliminated the additional 25% Russia-related tariff on Indian imports through . Shipments entered on or after 12:01 a.m. EST on February 7 are no longer subject to this surcharge. Entries made prior to this time remain unchanged.

Not Yet Effective

A proposed reciprocal tariff rate of approximately 18%, referenced in a February 6 U.S.–India , has not been implemented. Please note that this 18% would likely need to be added to the base 8.4% duty. At this time, no executive order or formal Customs guidance has been issued, and this rate should not be applied.

Current Status

All existing reciprocal tariffs remain in effect making the current rate 33.4% (25% reciprocal tariff + the 8.4% base rate). The only confirmed change at this time is the removal of the Russia-related 25% surcharge.

What This Means for Importers

Please do not assume or apply the proposed 18% rate until official guidance is released. U.S. Customs will continue to enforce current regulations.

Important Note!

The base 8.4% needs to be added to all tariff percentages referenced. The updates are focused on the additional tariffs imposed over the last year.

We are actively reviewing and updating open sales orders impacted by this change. Applicable tariff rates will continue to be clearly disclosed on your invoices.
