Net Baffle Bags are a specialized type of FIBC or Bulk Bag, and they have some advantages to a standard baffle bag you may not know. A typical baffle bag or Q-bag is a form stable bag that stays within the pallet footprint better than a traditional bag. A baffle bag stacks without bulging, as it’s designed with fabric webbing sewn in the corners to help maintain its form. The advantages of a baffled bag are less damaged bags by hanging over the pallet edge, more efficient use of warehouse space, and container/trucking space for transport.

A net baffle bag uses the traditional concept of a baffle bag but replaces the fabric in the corner with net or strings. The netting is thinner, allowing for more product to flow through it easily, but is strong enough to maintain the bags square shape and form stabilization of the bag. Net Baffle Bags achieve all the standard benefits of the baffle bag but have some additional advantages:

  • Net Baffle Bags allow for faster filling, as the material can freely flow into the corners between the netting.
  • This also allows for a quicker and cleaner discharge of the bag, as less material gets trapped in the corners.
  • Depending on your product, there can also be added value of maximizing volume.
  • In some cases, up to 10% more volume has been added to the same size bag, allowing for more product to be shipped efficiently or potential bag size reduction. These can have added benefits to sustainability programs.
